Our commitment to our community

One Ocean Expeditions views the world as one large ocean. So it stands to reason that our actions in one part of the world will affect another. This is why we give back in our local community in Squamish, BC, and the places we travel.

At the annual Sea to Sky Gala in Squamish, One Ocean Expeditions is extremely proud to donate the grand door prize — a voyage to the Canadian Arctic for two.

The Gala is organized by the Sea to Sky Community Services. It is one of the largest, most impactful charities in the area, helping and supporting residents in the Sea to Sky Corridor. 'A sparkling night for dazzling future' will be hosted on top of the Sea to Sky Gondola, offering a breathtaking view over the Howe Sound. It combines tasting stations with local chefs, entertainment at its finest and different live music bands.

One Ocean Expeditions — Our Commitments

Our commitment includes building a tailored outreach program with northern communities in Canada.

Every year, we are participating in the annual Svalbard clean up, a program to collect garbage along the beaches of Svalbard to protect the environment and wildlife.

Our involvement in the rat eradication in South Georgia has been an integral part of our company’s history and the island’s wildlife population is now increasing and healthy.

At the same time, One Ocean Expeditions has donated funds equivalent to one million USD to numerous charitable organizations committed to assist in underfunded health and social programs, ecological awareness and preservation plans, as well as projects committed to historical preservation.
