Our Experience

Though ours is a new company, we bring an incredible range of experiences and skills to the Antarctic wilderness. Over the years, our team has amassed a broad scope of expertise in the Antarctic ecosystem. We have in-depth knowledge of the full range of Antarctica wildlife and plants in Antarctica, enabling us to offer a truly nature-based approach to tourism in Antarctica. We are arguably the most experienced Antarctic expedition team afloat these days. We’re also aiming to be the most attentive to our guests’ needs.

Facts About Our Antarctica Experience:
  • We have spent approximately 2 years of our lives sailing the Drake passage...and enjoyed it!

  • We have spent 16 birthdays standing in awe on the Antarctic continent itself

  • The combined expedition team has seen more than 20 million penguins. This number includes an amazing 4 Emperors! We've never been bitten.

  • We've sailed well over 1 million miles aboard ships on Antarctica expeditions.

  • We've sea kayaked over 2,000 nautical miles in Antarctica.

  • We've rescued 3 seals caught in debris, hundreds of wayward seabirds and a bunch of lost yachtsmen.

  • We've never seen the same iceberg twice.

  • We've lost 5 hats and found 2 – we'll have to keep working on that.

  • We (along with our passengers) have raised approx. 1 million AUD that was dedicated directly towards Antarctica wildlife preservation projects.

  • We've led close to 15,000 excursions to explore various spots in Antarctica. To many of them we seem to have been the only visitors.

  • We've spent more than 100 nights camping on the ice of Antarctica.

  • We've seen 67 sunsets that would bring you to tears!

  • We've seen and heard the roar and thunder of 1000’s of glacial avalanches in the Antarctic, and each one is better than the last!

  • We've encountered blue, fin, sei, humpback, orca, minke, beluga, narwhal, southern bottlenose, cuviers beaked, bowhead and sperm whales...and have been amazed each and every time.

  • We were the first expedition kayakers to bring commercial kayaking to South Georgia, and didn’t get our hair wet!

  • We have experienced the raw beauty and the remote tranquility of coastal waterways ranging from Iceland, East and West Greenland, the Canadian Arctic and the Scandinavian Arctic to the Antarctic.

  • We've led hundreds of polar expeditions – each one very different from the last.
